For everyone

Deductions in other languages.

Australian tax rules apply the same way to everyone, but the information isn't always easy to find in your first language. Here's how to access official multilingual resources — and use Night Tax for the actual return.

ATO information in your language

The Australian Taxation Office publishes summaries of common tax topics, including deductions, in many languages. You can find these on the ATO's website under the Individuals section, on the "Other languages" homepage. Look for the language you're most comfortable reading — Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Filipino and many more are covered.

How Night Tax fits in

Night Tax's guided experience is currently in English, but the AI uses plain, easy-to-follow language and lots of examples — designed to be readable even when English isn't your first language. If you'd like to double-check a rule in your own language, read the ATO summary alongside the Night Tax prompts.

  • Simple, everyday English throughout the interview
  • Contextual explanations for each deduction category
  • Registered tax agent review before every lodgement
  • Secure upload of receipts and evidence in one place

If you need extra support

The ATO also offers the free Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) for people who need help communicating with them. If you need help with your Night Tax return, our team is available by chat and email — let us know if you'd like an interpreter service to be involved.

Same rules, better prompts

No matter what language you read the rules in, Australian tax law is the same. Night Tax's job is to make sure you claim everything you're entitled to under those rules.
